Job Description
Step into a dynamic support role working closely with students in special education classrooms. This contract opportunity near Arvada, CO, spans from August 11th through May 21st, 2027, offering meaningful daily engagement in various school settings. Placement will be determined based on assignment and current needs, with possible reassignments to different sites or age groups during the contract term.
Key Qualifications:
- At least one full year of experience supporting students in special education (SPED) classrooms is required.
- Strong preference for candidates with significant or severe caseload experience.
- Reliable personal transportation is essential (public transit or ride-share not accepted).
- Immediate fingerprinting required after offer acceptance; any criminal charges will result in removal from consideration.
- Two completed professional RefAssured references are required at the time of applying—candidates will not be considered without these.
- Flexibility to assist with daily living needs, including toileting and diapering.
- Consistent punctuality—arrival by 7:40am (Elementary) or 8:00am (Middle/High) is mandatory.

What You’ll Do:
- Support students with special needs in academic, behavioral, and personal care routines.
- Adapt to assigned locations and student populations as needs shift within the district.
- Provide 1:1 student assistance, group support, and implement individualized student plans under the guidance of school teams.
- Engage in proactive communication and collaboration with education staff.
This contract offers 34 to 37.5 hours per week depending on school assignment, providing an excellent chance to develop new skills and make a significant impact in students’ educational journeys.
