What You'll Do - Serve clients within the “Office of the CFO” at private equity portfolio companies, creating a diagnostic framework and enhancing the effectiveness of the finance function. - Serve as a subject matter expert with deep expertise in the Government Contracting (“GovCon”) industry vertical, working directly with portfolio company management and sponsors to drive financial planning, indirect rate strategy, and compliance-aligned reporting across GovCon investments. - Lead the development, calculation, and operationalization of scalable wrap rate processes and planning tools across portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with DCAA requirements and contract pricing strategies. These activities may include: - Building and refine indirect rate structures, provisional billing rates, and rate variance analyses to support accurate job costing and profitability tracking. - Developing and optimizing planning and reporting tools tailored to cost-plus, T&M, and FFP contracts. - Develop bid/proposal pricing support, including rate build-ups, should-cost analyses, and competitive positioning for new business capture. - Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio company representatives and private equity sponsors, collaborating with CrossCountry team members to scope, clarify, and deliver excellent client service. - Identify new growth and shared revenue opportunities, collaborating with leadership to help expand the FP&A capability offering. - Oversee end-to-end delivery of FP&A engagements, including scoping, staffing, client communication, and quality control.

- Provide strategic thought leadership and engagement oversight across concurrent engagements that may include: - Forecasting and budgeting redesign. - Cash flow and liquidity management. - Performance reporting and KPI frameworks. - Interim FP&A support roles. - Finance function diagnostics. - Develop and enhance repeatable delivery “playbooks”, templates, tools, and methodologies to help scale the practice. - Identify key industry developments and trends and articulate their potential impact on clients. - Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards. - Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes. - Lead the coaching family by serving as a role model, coach, mentor, and liaison to the leadership team. What You'll Bring: - 10+ years of senior FP&A and/or consulting experience, with significant exposure to middle-market, private equity-owned businesses and significant experience in the GovCon space. - Experience addressing the unique requirements of the private equity consulting environment, including knowledge of the relationship between private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies. - Experience building and mentoring high-performing FP&A teams and setting standards for them.
