Paralegal

City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview Paralegal acting under the direction and guidance of the Paralegal Manager, primarily responsible for researching and assisting on various legal matters, preparing cases for court, representing the organization in court, and completing all post court work including filing abstracts and any potential court remedies in a timely manner. Provide legal and administrative support to the attorneys and the department. Must possess a positive and questioning attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to collaborate with other Paralegals, Sentara Counsel, leadership and other team members to continuously improve processes. Must be able to understand complex legal information and apply knowledge to ensure that Sentara is compliant with all laws and regulations governing legal matters applicable to the role. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the legal collections process. On site at 1330 Sentara Park, Norfolk/VA Beach. In Office at Sentara Park, one day per week (required).
