IT & Website Support Specialist (MSP / Managed Services)

Hiring an experienced IT & Website Support Specialist for a public sector managed services engagement with the Asbury Park Housing Authority. The consultant will provide end-to-end IT infrastructure support, cybersecurity monitoring, Help Desk services, Microsoft Windows administration, and WordPress website maintenance for the Authority’s network and business systems.

Key Responsibilities
-
Manage Windows servers, workstations, tablets, printers, and network infrastructure.

Monitor firewalls, antivirus, ransomware protection, and cybersecurity threats 24/7.

Perform server backups, disaster recovery, and cloud/off-site backup management.

Provide remote Help Desk and on-site technical support (minimum 4 hours/week).

Configure Microsoft users, mailboxes, patch management, and hardware installations.

Maintain and update the organization’s WordPress website, plugins, SSL, hosting, and responsive web pages.

Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and IT documentation.

Deliver staff training, user guides, and ongoing technical assistance.

Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or Managed IT Services.
-
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, and firewalls.
-
Experience with cybersecurity, backup & disaster recovery solutions.
-
Hands-on experience supporting WordPress websites and web hosting.
-
Excellent troubleshooting and customer support skills.
-
Ability to provide both remote and on-site technical support.
