Procurement Clerk / Materials Coordinator - Jacksonville FL

Burrow Global Fabrication seeks a detail-oriented Procurement Clerk with materials coordination experience to optimize procurement processes for our steel fabrication operations.

The ideal candidate will design and maintain an internal, transparent system for ordering, tracking receiving, inventory, and usage, while coordinating with local Jacksonville suppliers and freight services.

Responsibilities include managing receiving tickets, purchase orders, and supplier confirmations; ensuring accurate data entry and reconciliation of costs. The role also involves coordinating with fabrication shop leads to ensure timely material availability and aligning with project schedules.

Additionally, the candidate will build and maintain an internal procurement dashboard accessible to management, provide regular status reports, create and maintain an inventory of all tools, equipment, and supplies, and establish a check-out/check-in process for ironworkers.

The position requires tagging, tracking, and reconciling physical inventory, preventing loss and theft, and enforcing accountability. Communication with local steel suppliers, hardware stores, and couriers to source parts and expedite shipments as needed is also part of the role.

Supporting finance with accurate costing, invoicing, and supplier performance data, as well as developing and implementing process improvements for inventory control and procurement efficiency, are also key responsibilities.

Requirements include 3–5 years in procurement/materials coordination experience, preferably in steel fabrication or related industry. An Associates or Bachelor's degree in supply chain/procurement is needed or 7 years of equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organizational skills are essential, along with advanced MS Excel experience. Experience with an ERP or inventory systems is preferred, and knowledge of Jacksonville steel suppliers, industrial hardware, and couriers is a plus.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with shop floor personnel, are also required.
