The firm boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to perform.Why Take the Accounting Manager Role:Lots of opportunity for career growthCompany is going through explosive growth (organically and through acquisitions)High visibility – ability to make a difference/have an impactHighly motivated team- opportunity to work with a great team of highly motivated individuals- very driven group.Great benefitsFantastic cultureHybrid scheduleResponsibilities of the Accounting ManagerThe Accounting Manager will help to oversee, hire, train and mentor a team of 3-4 accountants.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.The Accounting Manager will also review and handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP.Analyze financial information and bank reconciliations.Prepare balance sheets, payroll, journal entries and GL.Assist External auditorsEstablish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control proceduresAssist with implementing new technical accounting standardsSpecific requirements for the Accounting Manager include:Bachelor's degree of Accounting5 years progressive experience in accounting and finance; hands-on accounting managerial experience preferredCPA preferredSolid understanding of accounting processes and proceduresAbility to lead, train and develop staffProficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of ExcelAbility to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team
