Starting compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.The Pastry Supervisor is responsible for helping to oversee the entire pastry department, as well as the daily operations and production of desserts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Cleanliness and organization of bakeshopCommunication and ordering of all pastry specific supplies and equipmentProper rotation and monitoring of raw and finished productsHelping oversee dessert productionHelping in menu development under guidance from Pastry Chef/ Bread BakerTraining of all pastry team members and other kitchen staff where necessaryCompleting monthly inventoryMust comply with all company policies and procedures.Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position.Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESUp to 10 pastry cooksThis position is considered a member of the kitchen leadership team.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEFive years’ experience in Restaurant and Pastry or Culinary Education and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Restaurant and PastryHigh School Diploma or EquivalentLANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to write and speak clearly and effectivelyMust be able to compose effective recipesMust be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team membersMATHEMATICAL SKILLSMust be able to convert recipes into larger and smaller batchesMust thoroughly understand weights, measures, and conversion of bothREASONING ABILITYMust be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goalsPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periodsRequires constant bending, stooping and reachingWORK ENVIRONMENTFully equipped bakeshop staffed by as many as six people at one timeRequires working as part of the overall kitchen team and sharing of equipment, supplies, and productMay occasionally be asked to go outside in all weather conditions #J-18808-Ljbffr Blackberry Farm, LLC
