Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Infection Preventionist

Job Summary:

Complete Care at Berkshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Infection Preventionist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. As a critical member of our nursing leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff. Responsibilities: ADON/IP

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection rates, identifying trends and developing strategies to reduce the spread of infections
• Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Committee to develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control practices
• Provide education and training to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control best practices
• Conduct investigations and incident reports related to infections and outbreaks, developing corrective actions and implementing improvements
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, monitoring, and education
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention-related projects
• Stay up to date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in infection prevention and control

Requirements: ADON/IP

• Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Infection Preventionist certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and regulations
• Proven experience in infection prevention and control, with a strong background in epidemiology and surveillance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop evidence-based recommendations
