Mohs Histotechnician

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mohs Histotechnician (part-time or full-time). In this role you will: Assist in Mohs procedures performed in the clinic. Prepare tissue samples for immediate examination, using rapid tissue processing and frozen section technique to cut, mount and stain samples for Mohs procedures. Perform daily functions of the Mohs laboratory, including opening the lab, assisting with specimen collection and accessioning specimens. Support the preparation and logging of other pathology samples to be sent out for analysis. Update electronic medical records for work performed, lab results and generate reports as needed. Assist the Dermatology clinic RN team as needed with cataloging lab pickups, preparing patient trays, and other duties as assigned. What you bring to the table: Associate’s Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a lab environment; accredited histology programs highly preferred. Full knowledge and comfortability with Mohs procedure sample preparation. Highly motivated, organized, precise and capable of multitasking. Assist physicians to maintain a good workflow and meet patient time expectations. Maintain clean, safe and well‑stocked exam and operating rooms, sterilize surgical instruments and assist with laundry.
