Accounts Payable Specialist

Accentuate Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Apex, NC 27539.The Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of Accounts Payable ensuring that all deadlines are met with the highest degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Verify invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and proper approval. Enter invoices into the accounting system and maintain organized records. Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account balances. Assist with month-end closing activities and accounts payable reconciliations. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies. Assist with other accounting duties as needed. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred. Basic understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications. Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
