Intake Coordinator

Intake CoordinatorSage Infusion is looking for a process-oriented Intake Coordinators to join a fast paced healthcare startup. This position will be hourly in Fort Myers, Florida. There is an opportunity for full-time onsite work with demonstrated skills and company growth.As the face of the infusion center, you will have the primary responsibility for managing the timely scheduling of new and existing patient referrals. The Intake Coordinator is an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team and works closely with management and clinical staff.Major Responsibilities:Receives initial order from referring provider and enters new patient demographics, insurance information, and scans in necessary paperwork into the patient's medical record in a timely mannerCommunicates confirmation of receipt of the Order to the referral source and follows up with them for any missing documentation needed for prior authorizations and clinical guidelines.Contacts patients to advise them we received their order and gathers any missing demographic information.Notifies Intake Director of obstacles obtaining necessary documentation from referring provider offices.Gives high priority to patient satisfaction, helps schedule their infusion appointment, welcomes them when they arrive and anticipates their needs. Collect copays and necessary paperwork from the patients.Responsible for initiating and tracking new referral checklist for completionCommunicates with the Finance team to enroll patients in the Co-pay assistance program as well as pricing sheets for patients out of pocket costs.Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly in a warm and helpful mannerTakes initiative to present ideas and suggestions to management; follows appropriate organizational lines in resolving questions, concerns, and ideasPromotes Sage Infusion services by providing quality, comprehensive services to all patients through a team-based approachResponds promptly and courteously to all patient inquiries or problemsProvides excellent internal and external customer service by ensuring work meets quality standards; sets high goals or standards of performance for self; takes pride in his/her work and completes work on scheduleDemonstrates reliability and follow-through on all assigned tasks to ensure work meets quality standards.Demonstrates the ability to work in a team-based environmentManage and order inventory for the office such as office supplies and medical suppliesPerforms other duties as assignedPay Frequency: Bi weekly or Twice monthlyPay: $21.00 per hourTypical work schedule: 8am-4pm but can vary depending on patient schedule.40 Hours per weekThis Job Is: A job for which all ages, including older job seekers, are encouraged to applyOpen to applicants who do not have a college diplomaRequirements:Preferred: Associates degreeMinimum of 2 years of experience in healthcareKnowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and prior authorization for the procedureStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlinesBasic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsBilingual Spanish preferredBackground Screening Requirement:This position requires background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
