Role Summary The Project Coordinator, Business Development keeps our market-entry work organized and moving. This role supports the expansion team by gathering and organizing information, tracking tasks in Asana, researching new markets, validating that research against primary sources, and analyzing data that helps leadership decide which states MFUSED enters next. Just as important, this role keeps each market-entry project on the tracks: in scope, on timeline, and on budget — from first look through the go decision and handoff to the Market Execution team, which owns the launch from there. This is not a people-leadership role — there are no direct reports. The coordinator drives momentum instead: pushing owners to hit their deadlines, keeping the expansion team and its leadership in the loop, and managing up when leadership needs to weigh in. Success depends on collaboration across teams. The coordinator works with people at every level — ownership groups, operators, and internal employees — and handles information that requires strict confidentiality. What You’ll Do Project Coordination & Team Support Track expansion tasks, owners, and deadlines in Asana; keep workstreams current and flag anything at risk of slipping Gather and organize documents, data, and updates from internal teams and outside partners so the team works from one source of truth Prepare agendas, notes, and follow-ups for expansion meetings, and make sure action items get closed out Prepare the handoff package at the go decision — plan, open items, contract dates, contacts, and budget to date — and walk the Project Coordinator, Market Execution through it Scope, Timelines & Budget Keep projects in scope — when work drifts beyond what was agreed, flag it and route the change for a decision before it grows Keep timelines honest — track milestones, surface slippage early, and hold owners to their datesMonitor project spend and track it against budget — flag variances before they become surprises Market Research & Validation Research new and potential markets: licensing rules, market size, pricing, competitive landscape, and regulatory timelines. This is market-entry research that answers "should we enter." Product, consumer, and pricing research inside markets we already sell in is owned by the Product Manager Validate findings against primary sources — state regulators, license databases, industry reports, and operator conversations. AI tools can speed up the work, but you confirm the facts before they reach the team Summarize research into clear, accurate briefs the team can act on Data Analysis Build and maintain spreadsheets, market comparisons, and models in Excel that help leadership weigh which markets to enter Turn raw data into charts, summaries, and recommendations Spot gaps or inconsistencies in the data and run them down Contracts & Vendor Support Read contracts and agreements, understand what they say, and flag questions, risks, and feedback for the team Support vendor and partner contract tracking — key dates, deliverables, and renewals — through signature. Once a market is handed off, ongoing deliverable and renewal tracking moves with it to Operations and Market Execution Cross-Team Communication & Confidentiality Work directly and professionally with ownership groups, operators, and internal employees at every level Keep the expansion team and its leadership in the loop — clear, timely updates so no one is surprised Push for deadlines and manage up — when a project needs a decision or a nudge from leadership, you raise it Collaborate across departments — expansion touches operations, finance, legal, and marketing, and this role keeps their pre-decision inputs organized and on time. After the go decision, the Project Manager, Market Execution aligns those teams for launch Protect confidential information — expansion plans, contract terms, and business data stay inside the team

WORKING WITH THE MARKET EXECUTION TEAM

Mfused has two Project Coordinators. Both use Asana and both work across teams. The lines below keep the work from being tracked twice. The go decision is the dividing line. The Project Coordinator, Expansion supports everything before Mfused commits to a market: market research, market selection, licensing, ownership and partner agreements, and contract review. The Project Coordinator, Market Execution (reporting to the Project Manager, Market Execution) supports everything after: product, production, launch, commercialization, and in-market initiatives. One portfolio per market. Each new market gets a single Asana portfolio with a named handoff milestone ("Go decision / handoff to Market Execution"). Expansion owns the portfolio up to that milestone; Market Execution owns it after. There is never a second tracker for the same market. Gray areas go up, not sideways. If it is unclear which lane a piece of work belongs in, the Expansion lead and the Project Manager, Market Execution decide. Coordinators do not negotiate scope with each other. Cross-lane visibility. Each coordinator is a follower on the other’s portfolio so both can see status, but only the owning coordinator updates it. What We’re Looking For 2+ years coordinating projects or supporting a team — research, analysis, or operations backgrounds welcome Hands‑on experience with Asana (or a comparable project management tool) and strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel A research habit of checking sources: you verify accuracy before you share, and you never rely solely on AI‑generated information Comfort with data analysis — building spreadsheets, comparing markets, and presenting findings clearly An eye for scope creep, slipping dates, and budget drift — and the follow‑through to raise them early Ability to read contracts, understand them, and give useful feedback Clear, professional communication with people at all levels, from ownership groups to line employees Able to hold people to dates without holding a title over them — influence, follow‑up, and managing up are your tools Discretion — you can be trusted with confidential information Clear ability to communicate and partner with people who have diverse backgrounds (international and domestic partners) + people from all levels (associates to owners) Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple work streams at once Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience Bonus Points Familiarity with vendor management contracts and other types Cannabis, CPG, or regulated multi‑state industry experience Ability to understand financial reports, cash flow statements, P&L, and balance sheets Schedule, Pay & Benefits Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ office, Monday–Friday This role works with international teams and partners: evening and weekend work will be required to meet business needs — expansion doesn't always keep office hours $31.25 per hour — $65,000 annualized at full time — with overtime pay when evening or weekend work pushes past 40 hours Medical through Regence BlueShield with two plan options — including a $0/month employee‑only HSA plan with a $500 annual company HSA contribution — plus dental (Regence DPPO) and vision (VSP) After three years with Mfused, the company pays 100% of your employee‑only medical premium on either plan $200 annual wellness account, all‑access gym membership at 12,200+ gyms for $28/month, and up to $100 per year in wellness rewards Company‑paid $50,000 life & AD&D insurance and a free, confidential Employee Assistance Program for your whole household Benefits eligibility at 30+ hours per week; coverage starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment
