We are seeking a Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned) . Responsible for independently managing daily operations of the hotel's "We Proudly Serve" Starbucks outlet Prepare Starbucks hot and cold beverages (espresso drinks, teas, and Frappuccinos) from a limited menu Taking cash, credit, and guest room charge payments Inventory restocking and maintaining a clean area with daily cleaning tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid Kansas City Food Handler Permit, or be able to obtain one upon hire. Must have 1+ years' experience as a barista Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions. Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Constantly operating machinery and/or power tools (i.e. espresso machines and ovens). Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Constantly performing sedentary work that primarily involves standing. Constantly performing light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds. Occasionally performing medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (i.e. walk-in coolers and freezers). Occasionally exposed to noisy environments (i.e. conversations in a crowded lobby). Constantly exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.

SCHEDULE

Regularly works from 5:30AM - approximately 12PM, including weekends and holidays. Open to flexible hours

COMPENSATION

$16.00 per hour base pay plus tips.
