This 24-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs with a ratio of 1:8 on average. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit. 3 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down with ratio of 1:4 before year's end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting.
