Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to lead our Cardiac Care Unit (CCU)/Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit (CVCU) . This position manages clinical operations, staffing, nursing personnel, budgets, quality standards, and patient care within the unit.

The ideal candidate is a strong nurse leader with significant CCU/CVCU and cardiovascular critical-care experience who can effectively lead in a high-stress environment.

This position may close without notice once a sufficient number of qualified applications are received. This is an at-will position serving at the pleasure of the CEO.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinical operations of the CCU/CVCU.
• Determine appropriate staffing levels and develop staffing plans.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with clinical, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in development and management of the unit budget.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and nursing standards.
• Monitor quality improvement and performance outcomes.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced cardiovascular care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Promote teamwork, shared governance, and a positive patient-care environment.

-> Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
• 5 years of clinical nursing experience , including 2 years in a supervisory role or higher .
• Alternatively, candidates may be considered with 4 years of nursing lead experience plus completion of required hospital management training.
• Valid Nevada RN license .
• BLS certification .

Additional certifications may be required depending on the position, including ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP , or specialty certification.

-> Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Nurse Leader or Clinical Manager experience.
• Experience supervising 70+ FTEs .
• 2+ years of CCU/CVCU nursing experience .
• 3+ years of recent supervisory experience managing a cardiovascular/coronary care unit in a similar facility.
• Experience caring for and recovering heart surgery patients .
• Familiarity with Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® standards .
• Experience with shared governance and collaborative decision-making.
• Ability to lead and make operational decisions in a high-stress environment.
