M&A/PE Associate

Job Title: M&A / Private Equity Associate (3rd - 6th Year) Location: New York, NY The Opportunity This is a market-leading M&A and private equity practice that consistently handles some of the largest and most complex transactions globally. At the 3rd through 6th year level, you will be operating at the core of deals, not the periphery. The work spans the full spectrum of M&A and private equity, from cross-border carve-outs and going-private transactions to multi-billion-dollar buyouts and strategic acquisitions. The client base includes many of the world's most prominent private equity firms, with relationships built over decades. About the Group The M&A practice is a global operation, advising on everything from routine transactions to the most complex and transformational deals in the market. On the private equity side, the group advises many of the world's leading PE firms across the full fund lifecycle, steering over 500 deals per year representing more than half a trillion dollars in transaction value. The team includes deal makers, industry veterans, former government lawyers, and litigators, assembled deal-by-deal to match the needs of each client and transaction. What You Will Do Work on sophisticated M&A and private equity transactions, from mid-market deals through multi-billion-dollar cross-border transactions Advise private equity clients across the full fund lifecycle, from initial investment through exit Handle complex deal structures including carve-outs, tax-free spinoffs, and going-private transactions Navigate antitrust, regulatory, and shareholder activism issues as part of integrated deal teams Build relationships with a client base that includes many of the world's leading private equity firms and institutional acquirers What You Bring (Must-Haves) Minimum 2 years of M&A and/or private equity transactional experience at a recognized law firm (3rd - 6th year class) Hands-on drafting and negotiating experience on complex transactions Ability to manage deal workstreams with growing independence #J-18808-Ljbffr Pure Search
