Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility located in Fredericksburg, Texas. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a 10-bed ICU unit, utilizing advanced medical equipment and adhering to established protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on critical patient management and care.

Job Details

• Location: Fredericksburg, TX
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 3 years of recent ICU experience; ability to work independently in a charge nurse role preferred. Experience with updated electronic medical records and ICU equipment is essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in charge roles or with complex procedures such as STEMI and stroke protocols, conscious sedation, chest tubes, intubation, and emergency codes.
• Additional Information: The ICU team works with advanced monitoring equipment, including Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, GE EKG machines, and LifePak defibrillators. The unit emphasizes a friendly and compassionate environment where critical thinking, flexibility, and teamwork are highly valued. The dress code is navy blue scrubs.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
