TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Concord, North Carolina, 28025!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience BLS ACLS NIHSS Description: This facility is a teaching hospital with 457 licensed beds. It is a Trauma Level III center, a Chest Pain Center, and a Stroke Center of Excellence. The average daily census is 8 patients. The patient types include chest pain, syncope, and angina. The RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5. General Med/Tele skillset is required. Skills needed include stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, and chest tube management. NGT placement and drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG tubes, Hemovac, JP drains, flexiseals, foley insertion/management, etc.) are also necessary. Medication drip management to include cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IV fluids is required. Support within the department includes supervision from a charge RN and assistance from resource RNs for admissions and discharges. Phlebotomy is a combined effort between RNs and the IV team. The EMR used in the facility is EPIC. IV pumps used include Alaris, and medication dispensing is managed with Omnicell. Floating will be required within region needs and is subject to scope of practice. Every other weekend rotation is expected, along with holiday work obligations. Time-off requests can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays, with adjustments to the contract if needed.
