Own Code Metal's product strategy, organization, and operating model Define product strategy and investment priorities for Code Metal's platform Own the direction and evolution of the core product platform and its roadmap Identify customer problems with Engineering, develop and validate products, and take them from concept through launch and adoption Establish a disciplined customer-discovery process for engineering-led customers Make product and engineering tradeoffs across customer commitments, platform investments, technical debt, and strategic opportunities Determine product packaging, positioning, and commercialization Partner with Growth and Sales on product narratives, use cases, demonstrations, competitive positioning, and technical enablement Participate in strategic customer conversations and support Sales with customer requirements and product value Serve as the primary product counterpart to Engineering and technical leadership Build a high-leverage, technically credible, high-output Product organization Report directly to the CEO and work with technical leadership on product direction and sequencing Requirements 10+ years of B2B technology sales experience 5+ years leading scaled Product organizations Experience building products from deeply technical foundational technology Ability to operate with ambiguity, incomplete information, and an immature organizational structure Highly technical product executive able to understand complex technical systems Comfortable personally conducting customer discovery, writing product strategy, pressure-testing requirements, supporting strategic deals, and driving prioritization Strong product judgment to distinguish customer requests, repeatable product needs, and strategic platform investments Commercial mindset, including product packaging, selling, and communicating technology Ability to make difficult prioritization decisions and reject work outside the broader product strategy Collaborative across Engineering, Growth, Sales, Solutions, and forward-deployed teams Experience taking a deeply technical product from ground zero to market Experience partnering with Sales to commercialize products and participating directly in customer conversations Experience working with deeply technical engineering organizations and earning credibility with engineers, architects, and technical founders Experience translating emerging technical capabilities into repeatedly sold and deployed products rather than bespoke solutions Experience establishing product-market fit Experience building products for developers, engineers, security teams, infrastructure teams, or other highly technical users is ideally desired U.S. work authorization U.S. security clearance eligibility may be required for certain assignments Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in product strategy, technical product development, and customer discovery processes, with a strong focus on B2B technology markets.
