Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: 195 Howard St., New London, CT 06320
Work Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm, shared weekend phone call
Scheduled Hours: 40, 36 clinical/4 admin, 4-day work week; Position Type: FTE
EMR System: EPIC

- 16-20ppd with light, shared phone‑call responsibilities with regional group (5x/year)

- $300K+ guaranteed base (two years); $40K+ sign‑on bonus; wRVU production bonuses and Quality incentives; malpractice coverage; retirement/pension and full traditional benefits; up to $80K in student loan reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Involve patients and their families in care and treatment decisions
- Create treatment plans and complete orders in patient charts
- Collaborate on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management
- Initiate appropriate specialty referrals
- Provide clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner
- Ensure that proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete
- Work with practice management to ensure proper compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment
- Achieve and maintain optimal patient access
- Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested
- Participate in the development of medical protocols, standard procedures and management of
Qualifications
- MD or DO with ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM‑recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum)
Licensure
- Valid American Board certification in either internal medicine or family medicine and renewed (if needed) prior to expiration
- Valid and unrestricted New York medical license
- BLS certification
- Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate (or in the process of obtaining)
