Overview YOU ARE AN ASPIRING PRODUCT MANAGER WITH EXPERIENCE MANAGING SOFTWARE PRODUCTS Be part of the exciting growth of Law Bulletin Media’s industry-leading products and services targeted to the needs of attorneys and other legal and business professionals. You will be part of the team managing our digital flagship service Lawyerport that integrates our unique legal and business information into a single platform. Responsibilities WHAT WOULD I BE DOING? The Associate Product Manager will bring their growing software product management skills leveraging Jira/Atlassian to drive growth of Lawyerport. You work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute the Lawyerport product roadmap and define detailed requirements for each sprint. Your prior experience managing the development process will allow you to hit the ground running participating in sprint planning, communicating development requirements, and assisting with go-to-market strategies. Your collaborative and positive approach will enable you to quickly create effective internal and external working relationships. Ideally, you have experience with and an understanding of the legal industry and that allows you to identify user needs and optimize client satisfaction, retention and expansion. You will operate in a matrix structure day-to-day and report to and work closely with the President to help us reach our corporate goals. Qualifications SO WHAT KIND OF FOLKS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? Proven Product Management . You have enjoyed 2+ years product management experience with software products and ideally have experience in the legal industry. You are proficient using Jira and have experience managing the development process. You have experience leveraging market research, including customer meetings, focus groups and surveys, to identify development opportunities that drive subscription growth and align with corporate goals. Driven and ambitious . This position is a growth position with tons of potential. You’re driven to always be improving – you know how to identify growth opportunities, vet them with stakeholders and effectively manage them throughout the product life cycle. You balance your ambition with your focus on customer success and high standards of ethics and integrity. Great Communicator . An important part of your role is to be a champion for our products and the user perspective. You get excited explaining and demonstrating the features and content of Lawyerport working with engineering and other stakeholders. You are curious and listen carefully to understand how we can improve and grow. You are a solid writer and presenter and can hold a professional conversation with anyone. Team Leader . This position is an integral part of multiple teams that need to collaborate. You would be responsible for leading these cross-functional teams to ensure requirements and goals are clearly communicated and shared across all teams. You also recognize the value of teams and seek input from all stakeholders in making decisions. Tech Savvy . Despite our roots as a newspaper, we are now a digital information company, constantly expanding our digital content and services with Lawyerport being the hub for accessing our exclusive offerings. You like technology and have a solid understanding of Atlassian/Jira, content management systems, MS Office/Sharepoint tools, data analysis tools and are ready to learn more.
