Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience. License: State license required (pending licenses accepted). Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required (can submit with TNCC pending but must have before start). Must-Have: - Must have at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma facility experience. - Must have experience with pediatric patients. Description: This position is a cross-posting for an emergency room registered nurse. Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. The candidate must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays and may not take time off around Labor Day. Nights are expected to be either 36 or 48 hours per week. A maximum of 40 hours for time off is allowed during the contract period. Experience with electronic charting systems is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. The daily patient census is approximately 165. The facility handles various patient diagnoses, including Level I trauma and comprehensive stroke cases. Travelers may need to float within their scope of practice as needed. Disclose any vacation plans between the sign date and start date to allow for appropriate scheduling. References are required, and background checks will be conducted. The organization maintains specific policies regarding floating, mileage, and assignment separations. BSN is preferred.
