Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in a mixed ICU/Step-Down unit requiring critical care experience and IN or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

• 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit,
• ICU patients cared for at a 2:1 ratio and Step Down patients at 3:1,
• Floating required to sister unit for Step Down (3:1) or progressive care (4:1) patients,
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30,
• Weekend and holiday rotation commitment required,
• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure, sepsis/septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure,
• Care involves continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, mechanical or noninvasive ventilation, titrated IV medications, and enteral/parenteral nutrition,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required,
• BLS and ACLS certification through the AHA,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) within 30 days prior to start,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a medically complex ICU/Step Down patient population,
• Manage titrated medications and complex medication regimens with frequent lab monitoring,
• Radius rule applies which may affect local candidate pay rate,
• Only one submission allowed per candidate across all Ascension positions system-wide,
• Candidates should discuss assignment extension with their manager at least 45 days prior to end date
