Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with interventional cardiac catheterization experience and an active IL RN license for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

Job Details

• Work in a 5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25,
• 4x12 or 3x12 day shift schedule (0630-1900),
• Work 2-3 weekends per contract,
• On-call required as needed,
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed,
• Uses Cerner EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand required at time of consideration,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI cards not accepted),
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,
• Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience required,
• Experience with Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Left Heart Catheterization, Right Heart Catheterization, and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring required,
• Experience with Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring required,
• Skilled in Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Monitoring Procedural Sedation,
• Cerner charting experience required,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Acute Care Hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility with 562 staffed beds,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• Scrubs provided by facility,
• Parking permit provided at no cost, completed during orientation,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler,
• RTO ideally limited to 5 days or fewer,
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays,
• Local candidates accepted,
• Travel pairs not accepted by this facility
