Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings to evaluate and understand students' mental health needs, effectively determining the most appropriate treatment options.

• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to students facing a variety of psychological concerns, ensuring a safe space for open dialogue and support.

• Develop and facilitate therapy groups and workshops that address pressing issues relevant to student well-being, such as stress management, coping strategies, and personal development.

• Collaborate with campus partners, including academic departments and residential life programs, to build a comprehensive network of support for students.

• Engage actively in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and organizing wellness events that foster a culture of health and self-care among the student body.

• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance and integrity throughout the counseling process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with university students who are navigating the challenges of academic life, social pressures, and personal issues. These students come from various backgrounds and experiences, bringing unique perspectives and diverse mental health needs. The focus will be on providing culturally competent care that respects and meets the individual needs of each student.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field; a master's or doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of the particular mental health concerns and dynamics affecting college students, including the impact of academic stress, social relationships, and developmental tasks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues across a diverse campus community.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic platforms, along with experience in brief therapy approaches suitable for a university counseling environment.

• Adept at managing a diverse caseload while demonstrating the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving setting.
