Position Type: Full-time Location: Troy, New York, United States Application Closes: July 1, 2026 Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is a multi‑campus institution in Troy, New York, serving nearly 9,000 students each year. The college offers over 80 degree and certificate programs in the Schools of Business and Liberal Arts, Health Sciences, and STEM. About the Position Instructor‑Engineering Science (HV‑FAC-8917) Full‑time Tenure‑Track Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. At least two years of prior teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineering License. Demonstrated teacher effectiveness across multiple modalities in higher education. Experience using D2L Brightspace. Duties and Responsibilities Provide classroom instruction in Engineering Science and Engineering Technology. Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College. Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review. Participate in departmental, division‑wide, and/or college‑wide committees. Perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract under the direction of the Department Chairperson. Ability to teach a class at the Malta campus; teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online sessions. Salary: $53,000.00 for a 10‑month position (151 workdays). Potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload teaching.
