Exciting Renal Nursing Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic hemodialysis department providing exceptional care 24/7.
- Work with patients facing:
- End-stage renal disease
- Acute kidney injury
- Metabolic imbalances
- Dialysis access complications
- Drug overdoses needing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis
- Engage with acutely ill patients with medical-surgical or critical care needs.
- Participate in apheresis treatments for various neurologic, renal, and hematologic/oncologic diseases.
- Contribute to a well-equipped department featuring:
- 9 bays and 1 isolation room for Hep B patients
- Central cardiac monitoring station
- Patient call system
- Collaborate with an experienced team of registered nurses and certified hemodialysis technicians.
- Average patient length of stay: 4-5 hours.
- Work in ICU settings for hemodynamically unstable patients, aiding bedside treatments.
- Utilize cutting-edge equipment including:
- Tablo Dialysis Devices
- Baxter Amia PD Devices
- Spectra Optia Apheresis Devices
- Enjoy a vibrant nursing environment with:
- Patient ratios of 3:1 during days, nights, and weekends
- Opportunities for floating between 3 campuses
- Call required only on Sunday nights
- Orientation of 40 hours
- Experience in Epic charting system required; previous charge experience preferred.
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
- Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in acute care inpatient dialysis
- Proficient in skills like AV fistula and graft cannulation, management of anticoagulation, and monitoring vital signs.
