This mid-sized hospital provides inpatient general surgery services with established protocols to support both routine and critical care surgical needs. The facility maintains dedicated SICU capabilities and structured support for resident-led clinical teams. Clinical operations are delivered on-site with continuous coverage across inpatient and OR settings.

New York State offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. The region includes scenic natural landmarks such as Niagara Falls State Park, where activities include Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist, as well as coastal destinations including Robert Moses State Park, Jones Beach, and Montauk. Additional options include the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, the Buffalo Zoo, the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, Canalside, and the green spaces of Caumsett and Planting Fields, providing a broad range of recreational and cultural experiences throughout the state.

The clinician will provide night shift general surgery coverage on an inpatient and OR basis, Sunday through Thursday. Primary responsibilities include assisting hospital residents in the SICU with central lines, responding to rapid codes, and supporting surgical consults on the floor. First assist duties are not required for this assignment. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required.
