1st Shift - Assembly Operators

Job OpportunityNesco Resource has partnered with a well-established and innovative technology company in Auburn Hills, MI. We are currently seeking 1st shift associates for our client. The position pays $18 an hour.ScheduleThe hours will be 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. This will be a rotating schedule with one week being 12 hour shifts for 4 days and one week being 12 hour shifts for 3 days. Thursday-Saturday Rotating with Wednesday through SaturdayEssential Roles and Responsibilities:Assembly of lithium-ion battery packs, working on a high volume, fast-paced assembly line.Flexible and capable of cross-training to promote job rotation and team building.Become proficient at multiple jobs/stations.Daily accountability for safety, quality, and production requirements.Start of shift preventative maintenance activities & end of shift clean up.Read and follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.Positions, aligns, and assembles parts in a specified relationship to each other in a jig or fixture.Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits to ensure conformance to specifications.Pack finished products for shipment.Verify dimensions and clearances to ensure conformance to standards.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Escalation of safety, quality, maintenance, and production issues for immediate response of the support groupsParticipate in material cycle counts, inventory, and scrap countsOther tasks as assigned.Requirements:The ability to participate and create an excellent work environment and respect for coworkers is a must-haveMust have good attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed.Flexible to work 4 shift work scheduleReading, writing, & comprehension skillsAbility to follow work instructionsAbility to stand between 8 to 12 hoursWalk, carry light objects, handle parts, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 lbs.Attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to continuous improvement activitiesAbility to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets or exceeds expectationsPrevious experience in manufacturing with a good work history is preferredNesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
