Sous Chef — Knoxville Ghost Kitchen | $24–25/hour Knoxville Ghost Kitchen, located in Cumberland Food Hall on the University of Tennessee campus, is hiring a Sous Chef. This is a hands‑on kitchen leadership role for someone who can run a line, hold a standard, and keep a fast operation moving. What you'll do Run service alongside the team — prep, line, expo, whatever the shift calls for Hold the line on food quality, portioning, and plating consistency Manage prep lists, par levels, and daily ordering support Train and coach kitchen staff on recipes, technique, and pace Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health code standards Step in as the kitchen lead when the Chef is off What we're looking for 2+ years in a kitchen, with at least 1 year in a lead, sous, or shift‑lead role Solid knife skills and confidence on a hot line Someone who works clean and moves fast without dropping quality Reliable, on time, and steady under a rush ServSafe certification a plus (or willingness to get certified) Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs Pay & schedule $24–25/hour, based on experience Full-time, flexible scheduling around the campus dining calendar Hiring immediately #J-18808-Ljbffr Athenian Grill - North Locust Hill
