This includes working with dynamometer control software to integrate customer test requests, performing test equipment calibrations, and executing troubleshooting efforts on test cell equipment. The primary focus is managing test cell operations. This role requires the ability to successfully manage tasks and assignments in multiple areas. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities are critical to the success of this individual.QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Integrating customer test requests into our in-house developed dynamometer control software- this includes configuring channel setups and writing automated test scripts among many other itemsTranslating documents and conversations from customers to fully functional dynamometer testTroubleshooting of testing systems and customer product issuesCollaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create concepts and deliverables used to efficiently complete customer test requests and internal projectsSetting up small scale testing equipment including analog sensors, electrical instruments, cooling systems, and other customer driven requirementsElectrical wiring of internal and external sensors to our data acquisition system and our industrial drive systemsCalibrating testing equipment such as torque meters, pressure sensors, and flow metersWriting test reports for customers based on test resultsTest engineers will not be responsible for any opinions or interpretations of our customer dataAssist in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Skill Requirements:If applicable: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical), and at least 3 years related experience requiredPractical experience and involvement with projectsWorking knowledge of automotive propulsion and driveline systemsFluency in the English language is requiredStrong problem solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills requiredAbility to function within a team, working cooperatively toward team and individual goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersStrong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail requiredOrganize and maintain efficiency of personal work areaRequired on-site work as needed, per our Remote Work PolicyConsistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the jobAccept instructions and tasks in a positive manner, treating all co-workers with dignity and respectProficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to become proficient in any systems that we use (Concur, Kronos, etc.)A valid driver's license required for travel to customer sites, picking up parts, etc.Exceptional work ethic and positive attitude requiredSelf-starter, who can multi-task and possess strong communication skillsAble to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels, and work cooperatively toward team goalsConsistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulationsValid driver's license and reliable vehicle for traveling between multiple work sites as neededRemote work policy is not offered for this positionPersonal tools required to perform daily tasksAdditional InformationPhysical Requirements:Exposure to industry accepted chemicals and noiseFlexibility to support test activity at off-site locations and outside of traditional working hoursRegularly required to stand, reach, bend and move about the facilityAble to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assistedRequirements include, but are not limited to stand, walk, sit, twist, bend, lift, see, speak, hearProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAble to stand for up to 8 hoursOccasional travel required (locally, nationally, internationally) UTAC
