Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic emergency department setting. This role emphasizes best practices, relationship-based care, and adherence to professional nursing standards. The nursing care approach aligns with the ANA Code of Ethics, regional Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory agency standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Apply clinical expertise to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
• Engage in continuous learning and apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and workplace efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional patient and visitor relations, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams to manage expectations and ensure a positive care experience.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

• Participate actively in professional development, leadership opportunities, and nursing councils to foster growth.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care nursing experience if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the regional nursing board.

Work Shift: Night shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
