Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply evidence-based practices and stay current with product and practice changes to promote cost-effective care.
• Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Foster excellent relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students.
• Prioritize patient and workplace safety by adhering to national safety standards, HIPAA, and Just Culture principles.
• Engage in continuous professional development, including certifications, advanced degrees, and leadership opportunities.
• Promote teamwork by motivating and mentoring colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and building trust.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years of acute care nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in advanced degree programs is accepted.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications are required or to be obtained upon hire.

Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board. This position offers part-time night shifts with 48 hours biweekly in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
