Part-Time Instructor | Criminal Justice

Job Overview Part‑time instructors (Fall 2026) at the Department of Criminal Justice, College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, North Carolina A&T State University will be hired semester‑by‑semester to teach Criminal Justice courses. Responsibilities Teach introductory and advanced criminal justice courses, including criminology and research methods. Deliver instruction in face‑to‑face and/or online settings. Attend training and review sessions as required. Provide academic advising to criminal justice students and organizations. Participate in program development and assessment. Collaborate with faculty and staff within the department and across the university. Qualifications Hold a J.D. or a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Criminal Justice, Criminal Justice Administration, Criminology, Political Science, or a related field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching diverse student populations. Two years of experience teaching Criminal Justice and/or Crime Scene Investigation courses, with evidence of active knowledge. Strong teaching skills and ability to design and deliver curriculum in varied formats. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
