Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 13-week travel assignment with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period. Standard nursing shifts with 1:5 patient ratio on a 16-bed cardiac telemetry unit with an average daily census of 16. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed. No call required.

Highlights:

• Cardiac telemetry unit specializing in post MI care, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, peripheral vascular disease, and peritoneal dialysis
• Epic EMR system required; facility also uses Pyxis and SBAR documentation
• Comprehensive patient population including adults to geriatrics with diverse cardiac diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular issues
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available (excluding Spring Break blackout dates April 4-12 and orientation week)
• Holiday coverage required per contract length; major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience managing 1:5 patient ratios
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, EKG interpretation, and Doppler usage
• Demonstrated competency managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration (milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, Heparin)
• Skills must include blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post cardiac angiogram/cath/surgery care, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date; late compliance results in 2-week postponement due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required
