Job Description Hampton Christian Church (HCC) in Hampton, TN is seeking a Senior Pastor. We have a loving congregation of roughly 110 people. HCC is a fundamental Christian Church that believes Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, that he came to the Earth in human form, laid down his life on the cross, arose three days later, and ascended back to Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for his followers. We believe that marriage is an institution ordained by God between one man and one woman. Duties The Pastors general duties consist of the following: Prepare and deliver three biblically based sermons/messages per week (two on Sunday and one on Wednesday). In conjunction with deacons, elders and/or other church members, visit home-bound individuals, and church members in hospitals and nursing homes. Set specific times for office hours to counsel, mentor, or provide spiritual support and guidance for members and visitors. Collaborate with church leaders and volunteers to prepare services for activities/special occasions/events (Easter, Christmas, etc.). Shepard the congregation to encourage spiritual growth and discipleship. Work within the community to demonstrate God’s love and help grow the congregation. Perform weddings and funerals as needed. Benefits This position offers between $40,000-$45,000 depending on experience and provides two weeks paid vacation each year. Other reasonable benefit options will be considered.
