Special Education Teacher - Loveland, Ohio

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Intervention Specialist, where your expertise will have a powerful impact on students’ lives. Two openings are available to support learners in social communications classrooms focused on Autism (AU) eligibility, providing a meaningful educational experience in a supportive setting.

Details of the Roles:

ASAP start through May 28th for one position
Full academic year position at an elementary level (8am-4pm)
Small classroom setting with up to 6 students, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals
Students primarily non-verbal or limited in speech; supportive environment for addressing behavioral needs
Additional six-week maternity leave coverage starting September, serving a similar classroom population

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist
Experience with social communications classrooms and Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU) preferred
Ability to support students with behavioral needs, non-verbal communication, and differentiated instruction
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

Core Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
Utilize evidence-based strategies to support student learning and behavior management
Foster communication, social, and adaptive skills through structured routines
Maintain accurate documentation and regularly track progress towards IEP goals
Communicate routinely with families and multidisciplinary team members
