Pediatric Neurology – Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL Department and Division Specifics Rush Neurological Sciences has strong programs in Epilepsy, Neurogenetics, and Neuromuscular Diseases. The Neurology and Neurosurgery program is currently ranked 5th in U.S. & World News for specialty programs. Multiple funded research projects are ongoing in the Division, focusing on muscular dystrophy, Fragile X disease, Rett syndrome, Niemann‑Pick, and other neurogenetic areas. Rush University Children’s Hospital has 110 pediatric beds. Our Categorical Pediatrics and Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs have had a 99% pass rate on the General Pediatrics Certifying Examination offered by the American Board of Pediatrics in the past four years. Duties & Responsibilities Inpatient and outpatient care at the downtown campus and Rush Copley Medical Center. Clinical care includes intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, cortical function mapping, bedside long‑term EEG monitoring, routine EEG, and video EEG monitoring. Teaching medical students, Pediatric residents, and Neurology residents at Rush University Medical Center. Participation in general neurology inpatient rounding. Preferred Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Epilepsy or Neurophysiology. Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurophysiology and preferred training in epilepsy. Medical licensure in Illinois (or ability to obtain IL licensure). Eligibility for a faculty appointment as assistant professor or a level commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Compensation & Benefits Competitive total compensation including base pay, benefits, and incentive programs. Pay Range: $224,000 - $310,000. The role may include sign‑on and retention bonuses, relocation allowances, and opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets.
