Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

About the Position Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician specializing in caring for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The role includes inpatient consultation, outpatient assessment, interdisciplinary care, teaching, research, and community involvement. Responsibilities Assessment and management of children with physical disabilities in the outpatient clinic. Inpatient consult and follow‑up of patients admitted with brain injury, spinal cord injury, and physical injury. Follow‑up of patients in the Almost Home Kids transition program. Management of movement disorders such as spasticity and dystonia. Participation in the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Cerebral Palsy Program and the Multidisciplinary Spina Bifida Program. Teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Community involvement to enhance the lives of children with disabilities and their families. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications MD or equivalent. Board Certification in PM&R. Eligible for licensure in Illinois. Preferred Qualifications Fellowship in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Board Eligible in Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Desire to develop programs for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities in the region.
