Crew Chief

Crew ChiefLead and supervise a field survey crew on assigned projects. Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, as-built, and construction layout surveys. Operate and maintain survey equipment including GPS, total stations, data collectors, and robotic instruments. Collect, verify, and document field data accurately.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily activities, schedules, and site logistics for survey operations.Ensure all survey work is completed in accordance with project requirements and company standards.Review field notes and survey data for accuracy and completeness.Communicate with Project Managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding project progress.Maintain survey vehicles, equipment, and supplies.Enforce company safety procedures and participate in job site safety meetings.Essential SkillsProficiency in survey, surveying, and topography.Experience with land surveying and construction layout.Ability to conduct topographic surveys and use total stations.Knowledge of land survey techniques and Leica equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering.Work EnvironmentThis position involves on-site work with a company-provided vehicle, which can be taken home or dropped off at the office. The role offers overtime pay and covers travel time to the job site.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Jersey City, NJ.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
