Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support daily site operations with strong communication and customer service. This role combines a visible presence with routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and permissions, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in support of security-related operations at a utilities location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, restricted areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by client site. Help to deter unauthorized access by observing site activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following established post orders and reporting procedures. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
