Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy the vibrant community near Port Saint Lucie, FL, working full-time (35 hours per week) with dedicated school teams. These assignments begin late summer or early fall and focus on providing essential services during maternity leave coverage.
Assignments include:
- Palm Pointe K-8: Cover a K-8 caseload alongside another SLP, including multiple Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) units. Assignment scheduled from early October to mid-December.
- Ft. Pierce Central High School: Serve a high school population with the support of an SLPA, scheduled from September through late October.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active and current Florida SLP-CCC licensure required.
- Strong background in school-based therapy, with the ability to adapt to unique caseloads (K-8 or high school).
- Experience or familiarity with ASD support is valued.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with onsite teams.
- Meets district credentialing requirements, including successful fingerprint clearance (prior prints in the AHCA Clearinghouse may streamline the process).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, create and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate closely with other speech-language professionals, educators, and families.
- Deliver direct intervention services in classroom or therapy settings.
- Document and report on student progress in compliance with school and district policies.
- Serve as an advocate for student communication needs and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
