Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Responsibilities : Sports Coverage ; maintain statistics for various supports as required by NCAA and CCIW; manage and oversee student workers; manage external media personnel at assigned events; create game day programs for assigned sports for distribution to fans and media personnel. Primary coverage for 5-6 sports. Social media manager for assigned sports. Recruiting or Champs Management ; create recruiting brochures for all 29 sports and social media posts for recruit commitments; coordinate recruiting activities with coaches, including but not limited to photoshoots; assist in planning, coordinating and managing NCAA Championships awarded by NCAA and CCIW Championships Student Athlete Success and Development ; primary communications director for Black Student Athlete Association; primary communications/social media support for Student-Athlete Wellness Team and campus initiatives Requirements : Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred Minimum of one year (1) related experience; experience with SIDEARM, Genius Sports/NCAALive Stats, StatCrew, Adobe Creative suite software and other computer programs. Knowledge of NCAA rules, sport rules, CCIW rules and institutional policies. An overview of IWU benefits can be found.
