As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in Vernon CA this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors vendors and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access-control policies and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials documenting visitor and contractor arrivals and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents access-control concerns and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility production areas loading docks parking areas and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity access issues and security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision and support compliance with facility policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
