About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Legal to join their team. The successful candidate will be the first legal hire and will be responsible for leading all legal activities, with a strong focus on commercial growth and deals. This includes handling a high volume of enterprise customer and partnership agreements, working closely with the GTM teams, and developing playbooks and processes to streamline the legal function. The role also involves collaborating with product and engineering teams on trust, safety, fraud, and ensuring overall compliance within the products, as well as supporting corporate and strategic matters as the business expands. Applicants for the Head of Legal position at the company should have a JD and a minimum of 5-10 years' of relevant legal experience, ideally with a background that includes both a top law firm and in-house experience in the tech sector. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in negotiating large-scale deals, a high volume of experience, and a background in high-growth tech startups, particularly in scaling the legal function. The ideal candidate will be adept at leading the commercial function, be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and have a strong understanding of the legal aspects of commercial growth and deals in the tech industry.
