ACU has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Mortgage Department in Ashland, KY.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and organize required documentation from members to complete mortgage loan applications accurately and efficiently.
• Review loan applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and gather financial information, including income, assets, employment status, and liabilities.
• Identify, research, and correct errors or inconsistencies in loan files and application data.
• Communicate with members and third parties (e.g., employers, insurance providers, title companies) to obtain and verify necessary information.
• Monitor loan files to ensure all documentation is received and processed in a timely manner to meet application and closing deadlines.
• Assist Loan Officers with application follow-up, condition gathering, and document tracking throughout the processing cycle.
• Maintain clear and organized records in the loan processing system to support internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to all federal and state real estate lending laws and regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and other applicable compliance standards.
• Provide outstanding service to internal and external members by responding to inquiries and proactively supporting the mortgage loan process.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager or Senior Management.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of various residential mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA, VA, etc.)

Ability to pass background check required for NMLS license and Notary Public

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work independently

Education & Experience Requirements:

Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST
