The Budget Analyst will assist in the preparation and coordination of the City's annual budget and will participate in the preparation of the long-range forecast. Responsibilities include but are not limited to maintenance of the City's general ledger in connection with the proper recording of revenues and expenses, analysis and review of financial transactions in preparation of the quarterly and annual financial reports, and reconciliation of various accounts. The Budget Analyst will participate in various department core functions such as annual budget, year-end audit and CAFR preparation as well as assist periodically in reviewing and/or updating financial procedures for accuracy and completeness. Special projects may be assigned on an as needed basis.Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university. OR An equivalent combination of education, experience, certification and/or licenses sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Preferred: Experience in budget, management analysis, accounting, finance or related field.
