Accounting and Finance Manager

Adecco is partnering with a growing organization in the catering, food service, and events space to recruit an experienced Accounting and Finance Manager . This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing all accounting and financial operations across multiple business units. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hospitality industry experience, and the ability to support strategic decision‑making in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring strong team performance and development Direct all core accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Produce and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Maintain timely and reliable financial reporting across all business units Lead and manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities Develop, implement, and oversee annual budgets and financial forecasts Track financial performance against budgets, delivering detailed variance analysis and insights Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to drive cost efficiency and improve profitability Partner with key stakeholders to monitor food costs, labor expenses, and inventory levels Establish and maintain effective cost control processes and reporting mechanisms Evaluate margins across events, contracts, and service programs to identify performance trends Ensure full compliance with GAAP as well as federal, state, and local regulations Strengthen internal controls, financial procedures, and policy adherence Coordinate with external auditors and accountants to support audit processes Ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and labor requirements Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships Manage accounts receivable collections and accounts payable processes Lead, coach, and develop finance team members to support growth and accountability Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and HR to support reporting, payroll, benefits, and compliance needs Provide executive leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support strategic decision‑making Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred) 5–10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Experience within hospitality, catering, food service, or multi‑site operations strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards ADP Workforce Now (payroll) QuickBooks or similar ERP systems Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment Competitive salary commensurate with experience $100,000-105,000 Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, and more) Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr Adecco
