Envelope Machine Adjuster Responsibilities:

- Make proper size changes and adjustments to all assigned machines in accordance with estimated change times; obtain approval from lead adjuster or supervisor on start-up of new orders

- Monitor assigned machines and performance of operators to ensure quality (folding, gumming, printing, count, packaging, etc.) and run speed standards are being met

- Troubleshoot operating difficulties, analyze machine operations and make necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions

- Provide training and assistance to coworkers, including other adjusters

- Ensure change parts are cleaned and returned to assigned areas at completion of order

- Perform minor machine maintenance and assist maintenance team with major repairs and/or machine moves

- Monitor machine shutdowns, where applicable, to ensure proper cleaning

Requirements for Envelope Machine Adjuster:

- High school diploma or GED

- Previous experience within a manufacturing setting; paper and/or converting industry experience preferred

- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining envelope converting equipment (FL Smithe or W+D) preferred; printing experience highly preferred

- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a ruler

- Excellent mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Basic computer skills
