Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

12-hour night shifts; floating across units required.

Assignment Details

Orientation: 76 hours; 14-week contract.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license (compact or state) in hand at time of submission.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience.
• Acute care experience must be current within the last 12 months.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Oncology experience preferred but not required.
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Key clinical skills: proficient in IV starts and central line care, telemetry monitoring, EKG and ABG interpretation, IV medication administration including vasopressors, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and emergency department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient needs and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment plans.

Compliance / Notes

Request Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application. Vaccination for flu is required, with medical exemptions allowed. Candidates must complete fingerprinting as part of compliance.
